Scope note
Refers to the first photographs produced by William Henry Fox Talbot. They were created with a printing-out process, some as photograms and others with a camera. Distinguished from "calotypes" which were produced by Talbot's later improved and patented developing-out process called "calotype." In the mid-19th century, sometimes used as a synonym of photographs. For most prints made from these negatives, use "salted paper prints."
English

Viitab William Henry Fox Talbot'i poolt valmistatud esimestele fotodele. Enamuse neist negatiividest valmistatud fotode puhul tuleb kasutada mõistet "soolapaberfotod".
